We bought 6 of these stands/cases for the new iPads when we were doing a mini refurbishment in our school library. Three posts are screwed on and we use them to search the library catalogue. There's a power socket just below so we can plug in an iPad and charge it overnight - very handy. The cases are very strong and sturdy but did not damage the iPad at all. The foam/rubber bumpers that come with the stands hold the iPad in place so it doesn't bump around on the stands. For older children we have not screwed the coasters. This means students can find the book, then pick up the stand and take their iPad with them when looking for the book (instead of writing a phone number on a piece of paper). This is a very handy feature. Also, I often take pictures of screens with my iPad, and the stand makes it easy to work with the iPad when I'm teaching a lesson. Overall, they have proven to be very helpful and reliable. Check the measurements in the photo I've provided to make sure your iPad will fit - if so, you won't be disappointed.
