Parents, be careful while holding this gift for your child. it has a great sound. it is very loud. my kids love it they are constantly being sung. Batteries are not required. They come with a charger. The charger is small so you may need to buy a longer one to reach the outlet. Also, I bought 4 and one has a broken charging port so I can't charge it at all. Another stupid thing is that it keeps repeating a dead battery but it can't be charged because it's broken. They pair really well with phones, so you can even use them as speakers and sing karaoke through them. Also, it's a great little gift, just be prepared to keep your kids busy with it all day.
