I'm a fan of Sabrent products, especially their USB C/Thunderbolt accessories like NVMe Guards. This travel hub is an officially licensed Thunderbolt 3 accessory and features an Intel TB3 controller. That's good because Intel and Apple are the two companies that created/developed the Thunderbolt 3 specification. I think the display options you get with it are the main selling point, anything else you could find on a cheaper USB-C hub that doesn't require DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 capabilities then I honestly wouldn't recommend buying it . The value proposition just isn't there, as the only other ports you get are a USB A 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps), Gigabit Ethernet, and a UHS-II SD card slot with read/write speeds of up to 312MB. /With. No USB-C power delivery passthrough, no USB-C port for data. You'd think you'd at least get one more USB-A port, the size of which might also be a valid reason to buy it since it's smaller (especially for Thunderbolt 3 docks/hubs). The cable is folded and the connector inserted into a small slot on the bottom of the docking station. They did not include a case, which seems obvious when this product is sold as a "Travel Dock". I don't want to be too critical, this is a well made and reliable product, it worked exactly as intended when I tested it with my MacBook Pro 13". The Intel controller and official license means this accessory is a... will be the best you can get in terms of quality and reliability.Specifications for the DisplayPort 1.4 port include 8k/5k@60Hz, 4k@120Hz, HDR, HDCP 2.2 and VESA Adaptive Sync (FreeSync).The HDMI 2.0 Port only supports 4k@60Hz and below Nothing else is stated eg HDR so this feature may not be supported.
