I've been looking for a hair removal laser but have had a hard time finding one that works on dark African American skin (for reference, in MAC Matchmaster 8.5 9 seems to be the highest) . Based on the description I decided to take a risk and calculate the worst. I will be burned. I actually got burned on my left arm (darker than my right arm due to riding) but adjusted the settings and put my sleeves on in the sun to keep my arm from getting dark. After that I was ready to go. I have had 4 treatments so far and can see the difference. Under my arms, my hair has slowed down significantly (one week and has almost no stubble). Hair also grows slower on arms and legs. So I don't have to shave that often and I'm pretty sure the hair will stop growing over time. Overall I'm happy with my results and will continue to use it. My hair grows fast so it was nice not having to shave so much.
