Good exchange for my 2015 f250. The old ones will take some convincing to remove. There are complaints about the waterproofness of these cases in some reviews from different brands. Compared to the OEM housing, the OEM connector is just as tight, which is not surprising at first. A little foam tape or some silicone grease will help with this. Your best bet is to buy some thicker foam padding and replace the old crappy Ford padding. The IP68 rating of the LED body is suitable for immersion at up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes (provided the factory seal is optimal). If you regularly submerge your rear bumper in water up to your license plate (say, keep your boat on the ramp), then you definitely need the factory seal repaired. The same problem occurs with the OEM license plate position light. Very bright but not annoying.
