Was looking for a battery operated cloakroom light with no working ceiling light. and tried several different ones. The other motion sensor lights didn't seem to work consistently when opening and closing my closet. Moving lights are tricky with dark/bright rooms. This works consistently because it has a motion sensor both in the dark and in the light. If it doesn't turn on immediately as soon as I open the door, it turns on when I enter the door. Turns off automatically after a short time to save battery power. I've actually found that the overhead light works, but I prefer the automatic light. I just installed it yesterday so can't say if it will last long but it's working great now.
