This is not the way to turn 1 cupholder into 2 unless you like small 2nd drinks.
Works well, but that 2nd cup holder is too small for almost any kind of drink.
(You'll notice in the picture they use coffee, and that's pretty much the biggest size that would fit in it.) The tray is nice though and makes it a bit easier to eat in the car though I don't know that I'd trust it while I'm actually driving. Stuff would just slip right off.
