I print a lot and using OEM toner is not an option due to the cost. Luckily, we can get toner on the secondary market, and it's getting cheaper all the time. I have two HP 477fdw printers and before I bought them even aftermarket brands were almost $200 a set and half the time they failed mid-life. $50 for a full set so I can type all day. I got her through the steps and so far all is good. The printer recognized them, so they weren't blocked by the OEM to force you to buy their toner, which is a good start. I did some test prints and they were good and I took some printed photos. If I had to say there's a weakness, it's the photos. They don't have real tone like OEM, but you don't pay $400 for a complete set. So still be thankful to be printed at such a low price.
