I was actually using one of the previous models from this brand and while I liked that one, it wasn't completely satisfactory. This one is quite an improvement from the one I was using.- Powered by a wall adapter and not USB (like my previous one). I think this gives the speaker better sound and bass compared to older models. It comes with an input and output AUX cord if you don't want to connect through Bluetooth.- Allows for wall mounting, although it does not come with screws (was a little disappointed).- Sleeker and better appearance (in my opinion).- Fits under my laptop stand just fine
