Barely bubble-free application under the protective film. If you don't mind little bubbles, they're fine, but if you're a perfectionist and a few little bubbles bother you, don't buy this type of screen protector; only apply wet. The reason is that when you peel off the protective film, there is static electricity that attracts a bunch of dust particles to the sticky side, and when you apply them, those dust particles create bubbles. If you try to lift the part of the screen protector that is recommended to remove these dust particles, it creates more static electricity and attracts more dust, leaving more bubbles than before. I've tried applying this type of screen protector to at least 4 devices, with multiple attempts each (I think that's why they always come in packs of 3), and was successful on 2 of those 10-12 attempts. Again, as long as a few tiny bubbles don't bother you, they're fine, but if you expect perfect application, you'll be very disappointed in these screen protectors.
