I bought this brush set because of the height of the middle brush and thought that one brush on each side would speed up cleaning. However, when I attempted to wash my first mug, I found that the distance between the two outer brushes was too small for my 30-ounce mugs to work with those brushes. If your cups are over 3.5 inches in OD, I suggest you look at the 2-brush system. If you need it because of the length of the middle brush then it can work with larger cups if you remove one of the outer brushes and just use it as a two brush unit.
