Not sure if I have a bad batch but the only color with real pigment is black (rather light skin). All other colors really need to be layered to get the color pay off. I've tried it with and without the eyeshadow primer. But you still need to layer to get the color. I also tried applying with a finger and a brush. Actually debating its return, very upset after all the hype surrounding the new release. Buy liquid eyeshadow and eyeliner rather than this palette. Pros: It's vegan, not tested on animals, very little hair loss, blends well Cons: Not pigmented enough I really wanted this eye palette to work, love the colors, dear Lady Gaga, love what the company stands for. I am willing to return the money
