Extremely cheap components for a lot of money

I really wanted to fall in love with these headphones. I really did. I've been looking for the perfect pair of sleep headphones and they're far from the best. Note; I've tried all of their types: wired, wireless, and now these "lightweight" ones. The wired ones were probably the best as you don't have to worry about the battery. The problem is that the cable broke after a few months. Not sure what they expect if you move, if you sleep this cable will bend. Fold up the cheap cable. The wireless cable was awful because it was incredibly hassle to get the component to charge. Most cheap wireless headbands only have one cord sticking out and you plug it in there, and to go to sleep you have to take the entire wireless unit out, unplug it from your headphones, and plug it into the cord. Since I didn't want to deal with that, I decided on "simple". And oh my god, it was a mistake. They advertise that they last 12 hours on a single charge. And they did! I didn't sleep that long the first few nights, but one day I decided to go to bed early and they lasted a full 13 hours. Brilliant! Then a few days later I tried to go to bed early again and they died in the middle of my sleep about 8 hours later. Well, the next night as I write this, they didn't even last 6 hours. They don't even get enough sleep, and I think I know why. Induction charging is notoriously bad. It wastes a ton of energy and gets very hot. I decided to check the device while it was charging and it was incredibly hot. This thing is burning its bad battery to pieces. Obviously they didn't test it at all. I don't even know how you can rate this positively. Sleep headphones should last as long as normal sleep. It was an extreme waste of $150. The sound quality is okay. They are comfortable although I wish they covered the eyes, you can rotate them and place most of them over the eyes. However, the battery life is an absolute joke. I bought them about 2 weeks ago and they don't even last 6 hours anymore. This is pretty much a scam.

Pros
  • Simple assembly
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
