Do I really need to say more? Don't the photos already show how cool the shelves are? I used to have shelves here, and one day they just collapsed. Hence the scratches on my wall. They're about to be primed and repainted, but that's not the point, that's the fact that floating shelves are cool! I bought about eight of these and each shelf held between 10 and 13 pounds. I used my own metal anchors because I didn't like the plastic anchors that came with them. However, do not expect a company to send you metal anchors when you buy something as it is too expensive for any company. So take that from me and get your own METAL ANCHORS if you buy them or something else if you decide to hang things around the house. I'm sure the plastic ones suit us just fine, but I always play it safe. I was also able to run power to one of the shelves to place my Sonos One on, hiding it completely. from each wire. If you know a DIY enthusiast or are a DIY enthusiast, I would highly recommend putting a Wi-Fi, Alexa, or even Google Home speaker next to your books. Really to add a nice touch.
