This product works immediately, but not necessarily for 12 hours. I have found that it only works and lasts 12 hours if you do the whole process of cleaning your mouth: floss, brush your teeth, clean your tongue and then this product. If you only brush your teeth, you might want to start by brushing your tongue as this is a very important step in getting rid of bad breath as in most cases bad breath is caused by a build up of bacteria on the tongue. It also dries out my mouth and makes the food taste a little weird but not gross. This product is amazing, I would definitely recommend it to anyone struggling with bad breath.
