This wrist rest is made of very good solid material - the lining is soft and comfortable, metal on the bottom and on both sides. My wrists used to get tired and sore around the joints after a day at the computer, but everything is fine now. But pay attention to the height of that palm rest, it was fine on my mechanical keyboard as they are the same height, but not on my Dell slim keyboard - too high for the keyboard. Overall, this is a good palm rest.
