I think the shirt will be great. I want it to fit under vests etc. If there's one downside for me, it's the length. it's too generous. I ordered XL because I wanted it to be comfortable. I'm 5'4" and I cut it short about five inches. It's soft but drapes well, if that makes sense. I think a little spandex adds weight. Love the band collar.
