Review on πŸ’ͺ AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 Black Edition: 6-Core Processor with Unparalleled Performance by Wiktor Krel ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

The review was mysteriously moved to the fx-9370 after being sent in an extremely peculiar manner (it was written to fx8350). Initially, the review was stored in a general library of reviews on processors using this core. Although the evaluation is intended to apply, in practice, to all processors in this family, the exception is the fact that fx 4- 6 processors generate less heat than fx 8 nuclear ones. I feel the need to point out right off the bat that this stone requires a solid motherboard. You should not even bother looking in the direction of boards priced between 1.5 and 2 thousand dollars, for two reasons: first, the boards probably do not support it, and second, you will not be able to get adequate performance out of them. In addition to this, its appetite for power is particularly ravenous. Therefore, give some thought to a reliable source of electricity. And maybe most crucially, the amount of RAM. It is also not worth saving money on it because you need a pretty fast RAM (minimum of 1600 megabytes per second) in order for this stone to perform effectively. It's been approximately a quarter of a year since I started taking it, and I couldn't be happier with the results. And don't forget! The correct assembly is the most important factor!

Pros
  • First things first, let's talk about the power and potential, shall we? It is able to handle the workload of several threads quite well. After reading many reviews and other such materials, I've observed that some people argue that it is not as good as the second version of the i3 processor (complete nonsense, don't you think?). However, it became interesting for me to compare in practice (luckily, a friend has a machine based on Intel i7 of the third generation). As a result, when processing video of the same video file, this gem performed around 4% better without the need for overclocking. Regarding the way I perform in games, I do not have any criticisms to offer. There will be no friezes, freezes during lengthy downloads, or any of the other issues that certain customers enjoy writing about in the comments section of the websites of certain retailers. In addition to this, it can readily chase frequencies up to 4.5 GHz without experiencing a substantial rise in temperature. However, the cost should be your first concern. It cost me 6,000 dollars, but an Intel solution with comparable performance would have cost at least 8,000 dollars.
Cons
  • In days gone by, AMD integrated visual chips directly into its processors. They have now made the decision to install heaters in them. Put that boxed cooler out of your mind! A minimum of Zelman Optima is required for it (unless, of course, you plan to utilize it for the purpose for which it was designed and not sit in office applications).
