Review on Made In Italy 925 Sterling Silver Round Wheat Chain Necklace In Various Sizes by Brent Cole

Received the chain today. Even though it is a nice chain, I was initially disappointed because of its bright silver color. I don't like overly bright, pale, silver chains. So I went online to search how to oxidize the silver to make it darker to coordinate with my pendant better. It was so easy to darken it! All I had to do was boil an egg to death, mash up the hard boiled egg in a small container, shells and all. Drop my silver chain in the container with the egg, close the lid and let the sulfur release from the egg to oxidize the chain. Apparently sulfur darkens silver. I kept the egg hot by keeping the container in an insulated lunch box for an hour (I read you have to keep the egg hot). After an hour I pulled out my chain and it has darkened to a beautiful color. I love the way it looks now and my pendant looks great on it! I would have given this chain a 5 star if the color was not such a white silver. The chain seems sturdy and the "wheat" design is very tasteful. This chain will complement any pendant (after it's been oxidized a bit).
