Sanity saver in body pillow

I'm 8 months pregnant and after our recent growth spurt I just couldn't get comfortable enough to get a really good night's sleep. It got really bad. Tried a small wedge (boppy I think), urrghh, too stiff and too small to be of any use. I ordered a giant U-shaped pillow which almost pushed my husband out of our double bed by himself. I checked all the pregnancy pillows, re-read every description, thought about my sleep routine and wondered what could be better. I chose this one and had 3 nights of wonderfully peaceful and restful sleep for the first time in weeks! What I like is that it rotates almost 360 around you but has an opening on the side instead of the bottom. I made a hole on the outside edge of the bed to make it easier to get out. No problem walking in the middle of the night, easy out, easy back in. I like the rounded shape on the opposite side, which I put on my left side, since that's where we "should" sleep most of the time (so as not to squeeze the vena cava with a heavy uterus, potentially causing oxygen starvation). I like having a spot where I can elevate my ankles, which eases water retention and reduces back pressure after a full day. I can sit and read for hours without moving until it's time to go to bed on my side. I like to twist slightly from right to left without moving 5 pillows. I love that it fits our double bed very well and I can still see, feel and find my husband at night; and he still has a full side of the bed. Big glasses there! I love being surrounded by something that envelops me, keeps me comfortable and healthy, bar a few curves, most of the night. Even when I wake up and stay awake for a while, I lie in complete comfort, with my mind on my feet, rather than tossing and turning in search of the perfect position or wondering where that super soft abdominal pad went or how I got it shall turn stomach once more. It's brilliant and will save my sanity as I'm back at work for another month or so and really need every minute of sleep to be able to do it. Basically, this pillow meets all the requirements I was looking for for me. The ONLY thing I've noticed is that since I spend a lot more time sleeping deeply in one position, I can wake up a little stiffer for a few minutes since I haven't done any backflips all night. Such a problem, isn't it?! It might not be for everyone, but after trying Goldilocks and a few others, and my own homemade attempts, this is EXACTLY RIGHT! The last thing I would like to add is that some people complain that the curved seam on the neck is small, tight and painful. I never came across this because I put 2 really good pillows (one hard and one soft) on this part to keep my head up. It didn't even occur to me to squeeze my neck and shoulder into that curve, so it's not a problem for me at all. Don't let that stop you from trying this amazing pillow!
