Nice little radio - useful during power outages - storm updates

I live on the east coast of Florida and have experienced many hurricanes over the years. Power outages are pretty common so last time I decided to buy a battery powered emergency radio instead of using my cell phone for entertainment and weather updates. All in all this is a good little radio and will serve my needs. The seller's description as well as someone else's review covers all the features/traits so I won't repeat the same thing but will point out a few things I really like and wish were included. (In addition to specifications described by seller) Backup battery capability. This is a handy feature when the built-in NiMH battery is low and you don't want to use the pen at all. Of course, the NiMH battery can be recharged, but that doesn't happen if you have a power outage. Not all radios have this feature so I love that I can use 3 AA if/if that happens. It is made of hard, non-sticky plastic. Some have a rubbery coating that degrades over time and becomes sticky (my mom had this with another brand). These types of coatings cannot be cleaned and every bit of dust, lint, pet hair (you get the idea) will stick to it. And the coating sticks to YOU, so I'm very glad this radio does NOT have it! Receives all my local stations loud and clear. Good sound quality for its size. The antenna rotates. You don't have to turn/turn the radio to get the channel. WANT THIS HADA solar panel to charge. Not sure why it's not included, but it would be nice to have, although I knew it when I bought it. never mind Charge indicator for handle.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Has a little nuance
