This is a beautiful alpaca scarf, very soft. The truth is I haven't worn this scarf outside yet - it's still the '60s and '70s here in New York - but I'm definitely looking forward to the opportunity. At first the hand wrapped package seemed so small I couldn't believe it was wrapped around a regular sized scarf. and about eleven inches wide. One thing I should note for customers who are interested in "navy blue": I would call it "midnight blue". The color is very dark blue, almost black. I'm deducting a star because of a small thing that many buyers probably don't notice and I didn't notice at first glance. The manufacturers attached a care label to the scarf with a white thread. Of course, the white thread is visible on the outside of the dark blue scarf - similar to the pile. Especially with a product that appears to be so carefully packed by hand, the manufacturer would do well to match the color of this thread to the color of the scarf. Finally, a handwritten thank you card was included in the hand-wrapped package. Please - and this scarf will be especially for allergy sufferers, especially if the manufacturer decides on the color of the thread on the label.
