Review on 🐢 Dream Essentials Peaceful Pups: Handmade Children's Travel and Sleep Mask in the USA by Hannah Anderson

Good mask bad band

Bought for my son who is almost 4 years old. His room can't be darkened during the day, so we've found the mask helps a lot with sleeping. So far we have used an adult size sleep mask but it doesn't fit. The Dream Essentials mask suits his face very well. In addition, it's very thick and soft, which I think helps it conform to the contours of faces of different sizes and shapes (although it can get a bit warm). The tape is very disappointing. It is too small for our son. Did I mention he's not even 4 yet? With a strap that small, it seems like it should be marketed as a kid's mask rather than a child's. Much of the problem lies in the ridiculous placement of the Velcro straps, the "hook" of each strap is right at the end of the strap, which makes sense, but the "loop" part is so far out that it's almost in there are the middle of the belt. This actually makes the strap several inches shorter than if the loop fasteners were next to the hook fasteners. In the end we opened the fasteners and sewed them back in at a sensible place. It was a lot more work than I really wanted to put into a sleep mask. The overall design of the strap also doesn't make it very adjustable. It would make more sense for the strap to be two separate pieces that attach to the mask, with a small hook fastener on one and a very long Velcro fastener on the other (similar to the back of the mask). lots of baseball caps.
