I'm not a photographer and don't know anything about cameras. Canon seems to have a good reputation in general and that was true of my 14 year old daughter. She loves to take pictures and with an additional SD card she was ready to go straight away. She likes it very much. It's a simple point and shoot with a few additional options. It has more resolution than we need and she can take the batteries with her wherever she needs them. Good combination. The first one we received had a problem with the lens. Inside, a piece of plastic broke off and got stuck. Brought it back to Revain and they sent us another one very quickly. Whatever you buy is bad sometimes, so I'll just attribute it to that. The camera exchange went well and without any problems.
