I bought this because I needed an extra pocket for my large bunch of keys and with this addition, 95% of the time all the essentials fit in easily. When I need a big bag, I just add whatever I need. Phone: I put my phone upside down so I can see it when I pick up my purse. This allows me to unzip an inch to insert my headphones or charger. The phone sticks to the plastic, but after sprinkling some cornstarch on the plastic it didn't become a significant problem and luckily it didn't cause much mess. I have a Samsung Note so it's difficult to turn it on with the side button, but I figured it out. I can do about 80% of what I use the phone for without removing it and it's very handy to have easy access to - much less missed calls. Good value for money.
