I have had a litter mat for 6 years now and have never liked the way the filler feels under the lip and under accumulated on the floor by the receiver. That seemed like a solution! I bought a brand new Littermaid and it comes with the box. I figured why not - it should work better on a new one rather than trying to fake my 6 year old. I followed the instructions, glued the valve to the new litter girl, really glued it and left it overnight. The next day I filled the box with putty, watched the first cycle and was blown away! However, the next day debris was pushed under the glue and half of the flap was ripped off. I ended up removing the flap, washing it and putting it back in the envelope. Great idea, but unfortunately didn't work. So disappointing.
