Review on ๐ŸŽง Black Perforated Brainwavz Replacement Earpads with Memory Foam for Sony MDR 7506, V6 & CD900ST and Other On-Ear Headphones by Sedric Hood

Good comfort, better looks and better sound from Sony 7506

I bought these replacement ear pads first because I needed a more comfortable and durable ear pad for my trusted Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I use the 7506 at work 5-6 hours a day due to its sealed case, light weight and low sound leakage. I was looking for a more comfortable ear cup. They were quite easy to assemble and immediately made the Sony headphones more beautiful thanks to their high-quality material. I really like the look of the perforated faux leather. As for durability, time will tell, but it should be at least as good as the original pads, which seem cheap and fall apart after a year or two. Comfort is better than standard lasts, but not by much. They are thicker than the stem, so the clamping force at the head is slightly higher. They are also slightly warmer on the ears than standard ear pads. But the plush memory foam balances these effects with a good in-ear feel and is also very comfortable for glasses. Here's the unexpected part: a noticeable improvement in sound quality when you install it! The changes weren't even that subtle, tbh. What happened? The sound stage is wider, the picture is clearer, the mids are pushed forward and the bass is more powerful. I wasn't really expecting this, but it makes sense considering the earcups are the "space" where the speakers reside. play in your ears Whatever these pads do to the acoustics, it definitely changes the headphone response for the better. I would like to warn the people who make and mix them that ear pads change the tonal balance towards a less flat profile. The tradeoff is an improved soundstage (wider) and picture (clearer). The bass is now more powerful and very deep, but also boomier than before (less flat). I'm pleasantly surprised because for about twenty dollars I not only improved the looks and comfort, but also improved the performance of the 7506. too! money well spent.
