Review on ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse (K64327EU): Precision and Comfort at Your Fingertips by Luis Jacob

Looks good, ball rolls easily

Looks good, ball rolls easily, buttons a little stiffer than I'd like but not unbearable. + Right-click for a variety of functions - The ball rolls easily in all directions thanks to the way it floats on three points - The sensor is fairly accurate and with the right settings you can move the cursor around the screen and still be accurate when you select text or press buttons. The software offers many configuration options for this mouse. It doesn't cover everything, but there's nothing to snoop on. Cons: - I don't know if it's the plastic balls the trackball rolls on or the trackball itself, but the ball tends to bounce when moving forward or backward. When I put in a bullet from my old Logitech Trackman (T-BC21) it didn't see this issue but there could be oil on the bullet (I haven't used the new bullet yet so my tallow hasn't). cover and I didn't put oil on it). - Probably because of the way the ball is mounted: it will *fall out* if you turn the mouse over without securing the ball with your hand. I personally don't see this as a problem, but some will. Just thought I'd mention this for anyone who might be interested. The buttons are quite cramped - the left button isn't too bad, but I don't have strong hands so my pinky has a hard time pressing the right button. There's no scrolling functionality in either the Kensington software or the mouse itself, which seems silly given they already have the ability to map buttons. Fortunately, there are third-party solutions (auto hotkey, X-Mouse button controls, etc.), but this seems simple enough that it should be a feature of modern mice. Overall I think this is a good budget mouse. The lack of a scrolling feature and the uneven ball robbed it of a star, but it does what it's designed to do and looks good, and other software features are fairly extensive. I think it's worth the money if you can't afford something more expensive.
