I bought this for a guest room but NO. It's very cheap, looks even worse than something that's very loud. It was only sent to the laundry room/mud room because I had already taken it all out and thought it would be quicker to put it in than to pack it up and return it. Chery on the cake, the blades were pre-scratched and the stainless steel cup was dented. The light changes color every time you turn it on and off. It has 3 settings but they cannot be selected with the remote control. The speaker is, well, cute, a lot depends on the quality of the rest. I wasn't looking for a Bose system but it just is. The instructions were more like "You got it, here's a few words." The speed controller actually stops the fan and restarts it in a different mode. , it was good. I do not recommend this. It's a $50 fan at best.
