We recently remodeled our kitchen and installed a new range hood with two open wrought iron shelves on the sides. We liked the look but the lighting in the cooking areas on either side of the oven was very poor. These small lanterns attach to the shelves with magnets and blend seamlessly into them. I just turn them on when I need extra light and voila! - Fixed lighting issue. They charge in hours and have a red light to show when they're fully charged - no guessing. My only complaint is that one of the two charging/power cords that came with it didn't fit; the other fits, so I just use it for both lights. Another problem is that the brightest light only lasts about an hour before needing to be recharged. But in any case, I rarely need more than an hour at a time. Overall I am very happy with these lights - looks, features and price. I expect to buy more for other poorly lit areas in my home.
