Bought this two years ago. I like how it works. I have very hard water. Shallow shower holes create a powerful jet. The holes can clog up after some time and release a migratory stream. I usually just rub the hole with my finger and it comes back in the right direction. The shower head was easy to install and met my needs. softening my water and not only removing the chlorine smell from the shower water but also removing the chlorine smell from my body after swimming or using the hot tub. This shower head reduces dry skin and itching for me. I went to change the filter tonight because I knew it had been too long since I had changed the filter cartridge. I couldn't open the shower head reservoir. I soaked it in citric acid for a while but couldn't open the shower head. I know I waited too long to swap out the cartridge because of the mineral deposits all over the seams. The filter change was about a year ago. So I immediately ordered another shower head. It's worth it to me because I really love this product. I would only recommend myself and others to replace the cartridges before 6 months if you have hard water or at least soak and clean them quarterly to remove mineral build up. It's still good value for money when you look at the prices of good rain heads at hardware stores. And they won't filter water or protect your skin and hair from pool and hot tub chlorine or terribly hard water like these filters do.
