The huge clip holds just about anything. I use this at plane rentals because no one wants you to leave wrenches walking around on a plane unless you are an A&P. I've been buying RAM mounts for many years and haven't found anything better. They're bulky, heavy, ugly, and obviously very unengineered, making them reliable and fairly bulletproof. I use them on airplanes and off-road motorcycles. The suction cups work great. until they do. Don't rely on a suction cup mount for off-vehicle use unless you have the extra security to prevent it from leaving you forever. But really. Even the suction cups are great.
