I measured my hand from palm to fingertips and I'm about 8.5 inches tall so my glove size is S/M and they fit Perfect. Very snuggly and snuggly, and the flap detaches at the back with Velcro and folds up very easily, transforming into a snuggly mitten. They also have a soft, fluffy lining on the inside. Put a glove on your wrist. I can't wait to use them in the cold. Even driving on a very cold day and gripping the wheel in the cold sucks, but with the mittens on it's great; Then when you need to do something with your fingers, the flap folds back and voila, your fingers can be used. I am very happy with these gloves. The velcro looks like it *might* need to be reinforced with stitching or fabric glue, we'll see. Not as much. I'll use them for a while and see how they hold together before adding anything.
