Review on 🌡 Pawz Road Cactus Cat Scratching Post with 3 Poles and Dangling Ball - Ultimate Cat Scratcher by Aaron Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stable base, Strong jute rope that doesn't unravel, Stylish

I like that this cat tower is not so ugly. For this reason I decided to buy it. I was looking for something more attractive while sitting in my living room. Of course, when many guests come to see me, he doesn't go unnoticed, but it's nice that I don't have to worry about hiding him every time someone comes by. We've had it for a couple of weeks now and it's certainly wearing out, but I have three cats so that's to be expected. The fact that it's made up of three pieces helps avoid that rapid wear and tear, I think. They have more choices of where to scratch so they don't scratch the same post all the time. However, the smallest post in the middle is not suitable for a scratching post. It has no jute rope. It feels more like a soft carpet. Cats love to rub it. The sphere dangling from the highest part is still attached, but it's pretty tattered now. I was expecting that, but maybe it would last longer if it was made out of a material their claws can't get hold of. It's covered in the same soft, carpet-like material as the top of each pole, the smallest pole, and the base. Speaking of the base, I love that it's so wide and heavy. You can't top this thing that's perfect. The height of this thing isn't as tall as I thought it would be. I knew it wasn't very big considering you can read the measurements clearly, but photos are always deceiving. Your cats won't stretch on it. It hasn't stopped them from using it so it's not a problem, just a note. I really wish (and maybe it is possible) I could get another piece of the larger jute covered piece just to add. This would be easy and would not require any changes on the part of the manufacturers. Only additional sections need to be offered as separate pieces should you wish to add. The top of the tallest torpedo cactus simply threads into a jute stick that screws into the base. I plan to buy another one for the house and maybe just buy two to make them bigger and use the extra pieces for the details. I am very happy with it and will continue to buy it when it wears out! Update 10/23/2020 - The thing still works! We still have two months, that's light years in scratching post years. Solid purchase!
