Generally not a bad product. I bought to photograph birds while bird watching. You don't get the quality of an expensive camera lens, but that goes for all other products like this. A tripod is useless to me because it's so small. The telescopic lens takes some practice to get the hang of, but it can be very effective. Again very happy with the whole lens, especially for the price.
