Not sure if it would work, seems awfully big and cramped but did for me with a laptop on my lap I craned my neck and looked down. I'm A LOT in the machine on a laptop, it was really awkward at first being close to my face but really really good even great with no more neck stretch. Might be a little cumbersome if you type on it a lot, but still a nice flat surface if you need it for something else like writing or a dining table. I almost got this for the steering wheel that looks more like an airplane lunch tray, but I really needed some computer work and it was definitely the right choice. MDF material I think
