Of the two cables, the one I used lasted about 2 1/2 months. I used them with headphones plugged into my computer. Once the sound began to break at the slightest turn of the head. Now when the audio comes in, it's about half as loud (after you connect the second cable to confirm). Maybe it was just an accident with the first cable. Otherwise the sound is good for the price. Hopefully the second cable will last longer than the first. Update: Just a few months later, a second cable started doing the same thing. You get what you pay for. Put simply.
