Review on UTEBIT Universal Stabilizer Adapters Microphone by Michael Duman

I'm a big fan of SmallRig and have two of their grips but none of them are made for hot/cold shoes so I kept a close eye on one . This one popped up and while I had my doubts, I was pleasantly surprised by the product. Fit and Finish: The black anodizing looks great, no defects to report. I've noticed some burrs on the threads of the handle, but it doesn't look like it's causing any problems. The three cold shoe slots work fine with the adapters I have, so there's no problem with them. Function: If you've played with these universal hot/cold shoe adapters. Those with a round washer/nut that tightens on the camera's hot/cold shoe know how annoying they are and how easily they come loose. What I really love about this top grip is the integrated hot/cold shoe adapter with a red T-handle to tighten - it works like a charm! A much more elegant solution that won't scratch your camera's hot shoe like the cheaper adapters. Conclusion: A great pen. I used a SmallRig half cage and its handle (pictured) on a recent ski trip, but installing the cage and handle adds a lot more unnecessary weight to carry. A top handle that SECURELY locks into the camera helps keep it simple, unobtrusive and lightweight. Different threaded holes and three cold shoe positions offer many mounting solutions, although they don't have as many holes as the SmallRig counterpart.
