The Magic Controller has a few features that you should be aware of, namely: 1. After installing the application, restart the device from a completely off state. Once activated, the application will scan your SP105E, which must be activated. (At this point you don't need to connect the light, but you need power/ground)2. You connect Bluetooth to the SP105E device named during device search.3. If your device disconnects from the controller, which happens every time your device goes to sleep or you are out of range, the SP105E will continue to operate in the last set mode other than automatic. Auto mode will play until all modes are finished, and then the last mode played will remain. If you lose control of the SP105E, reconnect by closing and restarting the Magic LED program. Then it scans the device, you choose SP105E and then it can be controlled again with your choice.4. You must let the Magic LED program find the SP105E and not use your device's Bluetooth setting functions directly. "Auto" mode means it will scan all manual modes and switch to the next numbered mode every 5-10 seconds (I didn't time these switches).6. If the SP105E gives you the Disconnection Failed error, it means your device is disconnected from the SP105E and you need to reconnect it to change the lighting modes. It has so many cool modes that it's a lot of fun to play with.
