Many people want a $2,000 unit from a low to mid range receiver. You want audiophile quality? Throw a zero at the end of the prize. We bought this to replace our (still running) 20 year old Panasonic receiver. We needed an HDMI hub, we wanted a better connection, a better connection to our subwoofer and it would be nice to add a few new features. And we are delighted with the quality. It's pure and clear. The configuration options are huge and really let you customize the sound you want, whether you want to set up custom graphic EQ settings for each speaker or just add some reverb and make it sound like you're in a cathedral (what a weird possibility ). We don't have space to install 7.2, otherwise we would choose V6A. V4A doesn't support Atmos, but...whatever. This would be the only feature I would like to see in V4A. If you otherwise want to install a home theater in your living room, this is a great option. I am very happy with our choice.
