This is a great soil amendment for anyone using compost teas. This biochar is quite fine in texture and made from softwoods. I charged mine in compost tea I had already brewed for 24 hours. I simply added the biochar to a plastic tote and added my compost tea and airstone to it. I allowed it to soak for about 24 hours and the biochar had soaked up enough liquid to make it sink. When the biochar no longer floats, you know it's charged. From there I top dressed some of my containers with it and mixed it in as deep as the roots would allow. The rest I mixed into a new batch of soil for a nice even distribution. It greatly improved the texture and water absorbing capacity of the soil. Would definitely buy again.
