It is rare to find a product that combines beauty and functionality. This bottle is a beautiful navy blue that quickly fades into an electric cobalt and then a dusty silver blue. The lid is a matte navy blue and the body shines like new multidimensional automotive paint. I love the Zojirushi water bottles because I don't have any leakage issues and they are made in Thailand (as stated on the bottle and packaging). There is a safety lock on the top. Simply pop it open, push the button (for a second leakproof reading) and the lid pops open ready for you to drink. There is a silicone stopper (non-potable end) in the lid, giving you a third measure of leak protection. Water does not flow when blocked. The drinking spout is angled and measures just over 3/4 inch. If you unscrew the cap you will see another silicone seal which you can clean with a bottle brush to ensure there is no debris on it. I took it off before washing the dishes and when I tried to put it back on it slid into a part of the lid that I thought would only be accessible with tweezers. I quickly realized that this is not a design flaw, because you can also remove this part of the lid to clean it. Instructions to show me the correct placement of the silicone!)
