Review on Movo Universal Lavalier USB Microphone: Ideal for Desktop, Laptop, PC, Mac, Smartphones, Cameras, Podcasting, Remote Work, and More! by John Akins

Excellent microphone, underrated because of the price.

This microphone works exactly as advertised. The sound source is clear and easy to distinguish, and the microphone is well built. I use it for Microsoft Teams meetings and the only person nobody should ask for a replay is me! It also comes with a very good windbreak. You have to fiddle with the windshield a bit to keep it in the right position (I rotate mine by pushing it down, for example). After that, the windshield remains very tight. I like the chord length. It also comes with its own cable tie so you don't have a lot of cable when you don't need it. The USB adapter has a microphone and a headphone connection. I use the headphone jack on my laptop because the USB sound card sound quality has a lot of high frequencies but no bass, so the sound quality isn't too good. However, it doesn't interfere with the mic and I bought it for the mic. It's great that you no longer have to wear over-ear headphones for really long team meetings at work! It's definitely worth the price. You don't need anything more expensive than this microphone. He does his job really well. One notable feature is that it has an on/off switch so I can now mute my audio without hitting the mute button in Teams. I prefer the hardware to monitor my mute status, so that's a very nice plus! The microphone is omnidirectional. I get the best sound when it's clipped to the shirt collar rather than the chest, but I'm sure it's fine if it's clipped there as well. The clip is strong and holds the mic in place - and that's coming from someone who wears the mic eight hours a day. It won't move at all once you secure it. At the time of writing this article, it is not stated that this microphone requires a battery. I don't remember which one now, but if you want to use it with a USB adapter, you'll need a battery.
