It's a little big for most car seats.
J had to cut the spring wire in it to better fit my car. It hangs on the dashboard in front of the passenger. There is little leg room. In fact, I put my shopping bag in the last garbage bag and then throw it away. I like that it's always open and doesn't work by itself.
