Can be used to connect iMac and MacBook Pro!

worked great! I needed this cable to connect a mid 2011 iMac to a 2015 MBP so I could use the iMac as a secondary monitor for my MBP. Plug in the cable and just press Command-F2 and the iMac instantly becomes an extra display.
