Review on Hapinest Potholders: Unleashing πŸ”₯ Creative Weaving Crafts for Girls by David Fisher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not easy to use, but it creates strong, perfectly sized little pot holders.

I am an adult and after some disappointment I have decided that this set is not suitable for small children alone. I've had a hard time working with thick loops, but I love how bold the project turns out. The end projects I wouldn't call potholders because you get something half the size (see photos for size comparison) but they make sturdy, beautiful mug coasters that I love! I like playing with color combinations but wish there were more loops for the money. The hardest part was when I recorded the project from the machine. I would reach the last page and the loops would break, meaning I had to start over. There is no project save when it starts to unravel. And the thick rubber bands that came with the kit didn't prevent that. I used my own medium sized elastics and before I started slipping on the 3rd side I covered each st on the last (4th) side with an elastic going straight over and hooking on each st on the opposite or 2nd side. Then when I got to the 4th page to complete the removal of the project as I approached each loop I lifted it up with a plastic hook and removed each elastic band with each loop. This held the rest of the hinges in place until I got to them. No more tangles! This should be in the instructions along with about 20 rubber bands of the right size, long enough to pull on the loom but not so heavy that they fall off. Otherwise, there was no way I could see that the child could master these loops. But as said, thick hinges make for a great finished project. Another great option would be if they sell big packs of the same color so you can buy a bunch of the same color that you use in almost every project eg. B. White.
