Review on Wireless XP PEN Battery Free Pressure Creating by Micha Borkowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I saw in the reviews that some users have problems with replacing pen nibs. Tips are easy to replace. The main thing is to change it when the tablet is turned off, otherwise there may be problems with recognition, which are treated only by restarting the PC. If we compare it with Vak Bamboo pen (STL-460), then it's just heaven and earth: in modern realities, I am very pleased that one more can be removed from a ball of wires. Wireless connection is very convenient. And comparing their technical characteristics does not make sense at all - the difference in "age" is too big. If compared with the more advanced Khayon Kamwas 12 pro (interactive screen), then the choice should be guided solely by goals and habits. Drawing directly on the screen is a great convenience, but the interactive screen can only be connected by wire. But in general, Deco and Kamvas, in addition to obvious differences, are almost identical in functionality. Pen Deco 03 is somewhat average between the Wakom pen from STL-460 (not to say that its ergonomics are at a high level: it is uncomfortable in the hand, which makes the fingers tired, the ons are too convex and constantly fall under the finger, and its pressing is too hard ) and a pen from Kamvas 12 (also comfortable, but it clings to itself all the dirt and, according to sensations, is pressed softer). But this is all subjective, of course. At present, HP-pen products compete with Vacom, and, as a rule, comparison of price and functionality parameters is often not in favor of the latter. I think that this is a wonderful graphics tablet for professionals and amateurs who perform various tasks: from comprehending the basics of drawing, to completing serious projects and photo retouching. Perhaps the best value for money on the market at the moment (with a discount on the well-known website (in the official store of the manufacturer) I managed to it for less than 5k). Of course, there is the question of service life and warranty, but it is not so acute, given the price of the goods.

Pros
  • Convenient for use with large monitors (23" and more), the size of the working area is 25.4x15.2 cm, which is slightly larger than an A5 sheet. The tablet itself is very overall - 35.4x21.8x0.8 cm, but at the same time comfortable and thin, the hand does not get tired. Good embly - the tablet and all accessories feel solid and of high quality, the materials are pleasant to the touch, have no foreign smell. The body of the tablet does not play and does not creak in the hands, the ons have a pleasant pressing, and the roller (wheel) is clear (with gradations), but smooth running. Buttons and a roller are programmed in the driver at your discretion. There are 5 wheel modes and everything is customizable. It can be connected to a computer both via a wireless adapter and a USB cable (type C). The pen is ergonomic, does not require charging, with a rubberized insert (which somehow miraculously does not stick to dust) and good weight distribution. The ons are conveniently located, do not interfere with work, are not accidentally pressed, are programmed. The driver (configuration utility) is Russified, like the instruction manual, and has all the necessary settings, including fine adjustment of pressure. Excellent working surface - does not scratch, velvet to the touch. To be honest, I don’t know what to do with this tablet in order to cause at least some tangible damage to its coating - not a single trace remained after a week of use. A transport film was glued out of the box, but it was not very convenient for me to use the tablet with it. Judging by the reviews, it is not always glued evenly, often with bubbles, but those who are more fortunate often do not notice it and write that the surface is very scratched, although in fact traces remain on this transport film. A great idea with a pencil case - it's very convenient, everything is in its place and nothing threatens the pen during transportation. The cover on the side of the stylus acts as a stand. Inside it is a weighting agent, the bottom is rubberized and it does not slip on the table. Tips are easy to replace, 8 pieces are included. Falls asleep when idle (after 30 minutes of inactivity).
Cons
  • In a complete glove, the hand sweats, it is sewn from a terrible synthetic material (in Khayon, the material feels better). At first, the unpleasant squeak of the tip on the tablet is annoying (compared to the Vac STL-460 (it also “shorted”, but not so loudly), but you gradually get used to this sound and stop noticing it. The tablet is easily soiled - fingerprints are everywhere, rubbed off with difficulty. Before buying, you need to check if you have a place for its comfortable placement, because the tablet is quite large. Not everyone succeeds in replacing the tip of the stylus the first time using the device in the tube, but I had no problems with this (I tried to replace it just out of curiosity, the very first tip did not have time to grind off in a week). In reviews on the network, they write that the quality of the tips from the kit does not match the quality of those sold in the store, supposedly the complete ones are very soft and wear down quickly. It's fair to say that I haven't noticed this yet, but a lot will depend on your technique, goals, and how often you use your tablet. So far, I have noticed that the leg at the tip may be a little thicker and then it will not work to fix it. It follows from this that marriage is found in consumables, which is not surprising and there is nothing wrong with this, in general, there is no. Judging by the reviews on the Internet, sometimes, for unknown reasons, the driver settings fly off. I have such an incident happened 1 time after a sudden power outage. No more problems have been found with the software so far. Sometimes, when working in wireless mode, the pen starts to slow down for 5-10 seconds (the cursor moves with a delay, but without jerking), this was not noticed on the USB. Built-in non-replaceable battery. There are no comments here. I hope that under normal operating conditions, its service life will not cause any complaints. No pen tilt sensitivity (but not claimed). No warranty when buying on the well-known Chinese site. Representative offices in 2022, as I understand it, no. Only the official store and showroom.
