UPDATE on previous review. My original post is below, but I have to expand it to acknowledge the INCREDIBLE customer service from this seller. They went above and beyond my every expectation to solve the towel issue that frayed on the first wash. Aside from the issue with one towel that was quickly replaced, these are absolutely wonderful towels. Very big and very thick and absorbent. The price is great for this quality product. They are a bit larger than a normal beach towel, but the quality is far better. I have now washed all towels several times and have had no more fraying problems. You even got into the load with normal laundry instead of delicates and came out great. ORIGINAL REVIEW - In my experience, all towels need to be washed before first use. I followed the instructions on the card that came with the towel and washed it on the gentle cycle. The towel came out of the wash frayed on one end, about 16 inches long. Since this towel falls apart before I even use it, I gave it 1 star absorbency simply because I don't know how to do it. I bought 3 of these towels and although I've only had a problem with one I can't help but think it won't last long and the other 2 will also wear out and fall apart. I washed all 3 towels together and nothing else on a gentle cycle. I don't think 33% product defects is an acceptable measure of quality.
