Review on Craftsman C3 19 2V Brad Nailer by Chris Parrott

A few quirks but highly recommend

Although I have a few quirks I would not hesitate to buy a Craftsman C3 nailer again. I bought this nailer after my compressor nailer broke. I started buying a replacement for it, but decided to try a cordless nailer because I no longer had to fiddle with hoses and lug around a compressor. I'm glad I took the risk. The Craftsman C3 is very easy to use, performs reasonably well and has the great advantage of using the C3 battery, which is a big plus as I have three other tools that use the same battery. My first use of the Craftsman C3 was when installing some sort of quarter circle and it did the job perfectly. Another reviewer mentioned an issue with the nailer leaving noticeable dents when used on softwoods. And that can indeed be a problem, but it can be solved with a little practice. When adjusting the quarter circle, I found that I saw small dents when I pressed with a lot of force. I did this out of fear that without strong pressure the nailer wouldn't be able to drive the nail all the way into the wood. I soon realized that with practice you would find a happy medium that ensured the nail was flush with the surface of the wood but didn't leave a dent. It didn't take long to find a good middle ground, and the Craftsman C3 has worked like a charm ever since. Now about nits. The Craftsman C3 nailer is heavy and bulky, and both of these factors can make it difficult to use in tight corners and tight spaces, which would not be a problem with my much lighter, thinner, compressor-powered nailer. The second minor thing is a minor one that is more of an inconvenience than a serious inconvenience. This is the delay before the nailer fires after the trigger is pulled. While the compressor-powered nailer responds almost immediately, the cordless nailer's lag is noticeable and takes some getting used to. However, I can certainly put up with the delay to take advantage of the convenience of just reaching into my toolbox, pulling out the Craftsman C3, and getting started without having to do all the compressor-related setup. Despite my minor quirks, I highly recommend the Craftsman C3 19.2 Brad Nagler.
