This table looks great once installed. Getting him there, however, was a nightmare. For starters, they managed to use polystyrene foam, which breaks very easily. As a result, after opening the box and removing the pieces, small styrofoam balls were scattered everywhere. They spread like spores and after a few hours of careful cleaning I still find them everywhere. The hardware package was sealed, and yet half the screws I needed floated freely in the box. The table top didn't fit. There are two screw sizes. Longer and narrower ones were used to connect the base and shorter and thicker ones (with washers) were used to attach the base to the top. Unfortunately, the holes in the top were milled out for thin screws. Just in case you think I'm just an idiot and it's not the company's fault, you can't use short fat screws for the base. They will be both too low and too fat. So either the wrong screws were included or the holes were not milled correctly. A trip to Lowes was supposed to solve my problem, but it was impossible to find screws of this diameter and thread pattern. I adjusted the diameter but the screw doesn't go all the way in. As long as the top doesn't move from side to side, there's still room and you can't lift the table without risking the base coming loose. In the long term, of course, I have to find another solution. The table looks good assembled and the glass top is thick and of good quality. It just takes a disproportionate amount of time and effort to install such a simple piece of furniture for reasons other than cheap, poor packaging, and poor quality control. My next step will be to match the thread pattern to the longer screw and trim it. I don't have to do any of this to assemble the table.
